Weenie Dog Race

Every July, Downtown Manhattan hosts a
'Weenie Dog Race.'
Anyone who owns a Dachshund can enter it into the race.
It was really cute to watch.

Trav's Dream Puppy

Travis and I have fallen in love with this 10-week old German Shorthaired Pointer puppy.
~ Yes, it does have an owner, and no it is not us! :( ~
It just so happens that this breed of dog is known for its fabulous hunting abilities - no wonder Travis wants one!

24 - Season 1 (or should I say...Day 1)

We did it!

We watched season 1 of the hit television series 24, and we are hooked. Each season equals one day, each episode represents an hour of that one day (hence the title and amount of episodes - 24.)

It is an awesome show... but now we have a problem - we have to get through 5 more seasons (120 more hours) before we are ready for season 7 which begins January '09.

If you have never watched 24 - start now. It is a thrill ride that seems to never end!

We can not wait to begin season 2!

Our Apartment

I know you have all asked to see our apartment...
here is what we have done so far.
We are still missing pictures in our bedroom,
but otherwise these 3 rooms are done.

(The 2 other rooms that you are not seeing:
family room & office/guest room are still a work in progress...)

KSU Vet Students - Summer League Softball Game

Some of the KSU 4th-year vet students have a summer league softball team, and due to being one man down - Travis was asked to cover.
It was so much fun to spend an evening at a softball stadium cheering him on. Although the team lost (badly) Trav still made some great plays as short-stop and a hit a triple when he was up to bat!
Afterwards we went out as a team to celebrate our loss at Misty's, a nearby pub. (I thought it was a women's dance club by the name...
haha - wrong!)
