Since we all had a few days off for the Holiday Weekend we decided to enjoy our time together. We hit up Aggieville while all of the college kids were out of town - we had a great time!

TURKEY DAY
Travis & I shared our 1st Thanksgiving together as a married couple in Kansas away from our families. But, God has blessed us with wonderful friends in Manhattan & we were thankful to have a wonderful feast with them. After the fabulous meal we watched football & played 'Catch Phrase' till night fall.
~~~
We were all in charge of different parts of the meal & the Wodiske's were in charge of the 10lbs of Mashed Potatoes, the Candied Yams & the Green Bean Casserole! (YUM-O)
Our MASTER CARVER cutting up the Turkey... (Trav did a great job!)
Trav's Golden Birthday!!!
That's right, Travis turned 26 on the 26th!
He had a wonderful day filled with lots of love! Starting with cherished phone calls from all of his family and friends, his clinical oncology rotation took him out for breakfast, he had blue-confetti cupcakes brought to him at work from his wife, lunch brought to him at school, etc.
I think Travis enjoyed turning 26!
FALL BALL - LAST GAME
Travis played on a Men's Fall-League
Softball Team with fellow vet students.
These are some photos that I took with a professional photography camera of his last softball game. (Which they won in the 8th Inning!)
Christmas Tree Shopping
Since we are newlyweds we do not own a Christmas Tree, and with Christmas right around the corner we decided to go pick one out at our handy-dandy Christmas Headquarters. So we jumped in the Hyundai and headed over to our neighborhood Walmart.
Once we found our Christmas Tree, we decided to pick up a few other necessities... such as a tree topper and skirt. We decided to go with a sparkly snowflake theme. (Since we now live in a location that gets snowflakes!) While shopping around we decided to become Santa's little helper and a Reindeer. (We had way too much fun!)
When we finally got all of our shopping done, all that we had left to do was to get our new Christmas Tree home for some decorating!
THE FINISHED TREE!!!
NOW OUR HOME HAS A CHRISTMAS FEEL TO IT!!!
Trav, was it really worth it ???
As we were driving to church this morning Travis spotted a dead buck on the side of the road. He swerved over a lane to get us in a ditch so that he could go back for it- without even thinking. Now picture this, we are dressed in our Sunday best and he wants to go cut-off the head of this buck for its antlers (why anyone would want antlers of a buck they didn't kill themselves, beats me). Then Travis proceeds to say, " Honey, you go on to church I will meet you there once I am done here." Crazy, I know! Of course he knew that wouldn't fly so instead he just covered the buck up in the brush so that he could come back for it after church.
(See the below photos of Travis hiding the buck carcass in the brush...)
I woke him up from his nap by telling him that wildlife police were at the door for him (he thought I was lying and made the whole situation up - yeah, I made that up!) Once he met the officers at our door he explained the situation and he had to hand over the head and drive them over to the site where he found the animal carcass. Travis was not in trouble and image it, Travis became friends with the officers and talked hunting with them for another 15minutes after the whole situation was said and done. But, since he bothered someone enough to call it in - they had to confiscate the head... good thing we got the photo when we did.
Never a dull minute with Travis.
ABC Family!
Thanks to ABC Family - Christmas is coming soon!
ONE of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is to watch Christmas movies!
And the best place to do so is on the Family Channel's:
'Countdown to 25 days of Christmas'
Christmas movies every night of the week.
(Dad-sorry you have to watch them without me this year).
HEATER TIME
It is off the charts freezing - officially. We have come to a decision that the heater must be turned on! Manhattan is now staying in the 40's and below and believe me it is no Arizona weather.
Thank God for a HEATER!!!
SUSHI NIGHT
Chris threw a 'sushi making party' at his house; who knew squishy wet rice could be so fun. We all rolled our own meals (If you are wondering, no I did not eat my roll - I still do not like sushi - I actually baked a pizza for my personal EATING enjoyment.) And as you can tell from my photo I used way too much rice, oops.
Good Times.
