ABC Family!

Thanks to ABC Family - Christmas is coming soon!
ONE of my favorite things to do during the holiday season is to watch Christmas movies!
And the best place to do so is on the Family Channel's:
'Countdown to 25 days of Christmas'
Christmas movies every night of the week.
(Dad-sorry you have to watch them without me this year).

HEATER TIME

It is off the charts freezing - officially. We have come to a decision that the heater must be turned on! Manhattan is now staying in the 40's and below and believe me it is no Arizona weather.
Thank God for a HEATER!!!

SUSHI NIGHT

Chris threw a 'sushi making party' at his house; who knew squishy wet rice could be so fun. We all rolled our own meals (If you are wondering, no I did not eat my roll - I still do not like sushi - I actually baked a pizza for my personal EATING enjoyment.) And as you can tell from my photo I used way too much rice, oops.
Good Times.

The COLD WINDS are coming...

The trees in the midwest are B-E-A-UTIFUL right now, but the cold harsh winds are just around the corner (literally). So I ran around town to get these photos (love them) before all of these gorgeous leaves are on the ground (sad but true).
Enjoy them while you can (I know I am).

Vet School Halloween Costume Party

We had a fun time with our friends at the Vet School HalloweenCostume Party.

~Chris was a Musketeer & Travis was a Roman Soldier ~I was a mighty ASU Football Player
(Pat Tillman to be exact)
~Shauna & Davis were a socket & plug - too funny.
(Their costumes were homemade so they actually worked.)
~ A little 'Blue Steel' action
(We missed you Brisa.
-Thanks for the photos La Brisa Photography)

Wodiske Pumpkin Carving Extravaganza

On Halloweenie Night - Travis and I decided to have our first pumpkin carving contest. It was a great idea to begin with, I only wish we would have thought about it a little sooner because trying to find two nice looking pumpkins on Halloween day is an extremely hard task. After 4 stores I found the only 2 pumpkins left in our city, they just happened to be miniature pumpkins. oops.
*Keep in mind when you look at the below photos that one of us is more adapt to the uses of a scalpel.wink wink. Also one of us - not naming any names Tra... used a hand-drawn stencil to create his finished product, while the other pumpkin was 100% free-hand.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~The winning pumpkin as you can guess was the KSU pumpkin carved by Travis. 4 out of our 5 judges found it to be perfectly proportioned & more difficult to create than a free-hand heart.

Congrats Travis!
