5 Year ANNIVERSARY - Family Stay-Cation

For our 5 Year Anniversary we decided to do something fun as a family

 & there is nothing better than a Scottsdale Resort Stay-Cation in the heat of June in AZ :)

This anniversary was extremely special because we got to share it for the first time with our vivacious 10 month old.

We stayed at one of our favorite places - JW Marriott Desert Ridge

Paisley hasn't really had much time around water yet, so we thought it was a good place to start :) 

(Her 1st time in a pool was at JW Marriott Desert Ridge in November for Daddy's 30th Bday - so it was really special being able to bring her back)

Paisley started off really hesitant about the water, but once she saw how much fun we were having - she decided to enjoy it too!
It was really fun putting her in her first bikini :)

Paisley the Bumble Bee was very skeptical about the ' Lazy River' .
She didn't enjoy all of the splashing and the current.

So daddy went without her :(

It was so nice to be relaxing by the pool all day as a family, which is something we never get the chance to do :)

Paisley was a doll and really enjoyed people watching and being outside! It was an exciting and new adventure for her!

After a long day of swimming, sun and watching everyone around her ... (especially all of the kiddos playing in the pool) she was exhausted!

GRANDPARENTS TO THE RESCUE - DATE NIGHT OUT!

Of course we had to share one night out without our little one, it was our anniversary after all, so my parents graciously offered to watch Paisley for the night so we could do dinner and a movie. 

They also enjoyed the perks of the hotel and pool! :) 

After a delicious meal at Rock Bottom Brewery we saw Fast & Furious 6.
It was extremely entertaining and for a couple that doesn't get out to the movies often, it was a perfect choice!

DAY TWO AT THE POOL
On Sunday we invited our good friends out to enjoy the pool and the day with us at the resort.  We spent the morning lounging by the pool together and then the boys left to play a round of golf at the beautiful course.  You know what that means - Girl Time at the Pool all day!

Paisley finally decided that she liked the  'Lazy River' ...  probably because she was with her Will!

I LOVE MY FAMILY!  Thank you God for these 2 special people in my life!

It seems like just yesterday we met in college - time flies when you are happy and having fun!

Paisley loved her day with mommy especially because she was wired and never had a chance to take a nap! haha  By the end of the day I was the one who needed a nap!

It was a very special weekend ~ Excited for the next 5 years!!!

Dear Travis, Happy 5 Year Anniversary!!!

Travis,

5 years ago today I married the man of my dreams!
One who is Godly, kind, loving, funny, hardworking, generous, and not to mention HANDSOME!
If someone would have asked me on our wedding day, "What will your life look like in 5 years?"... I would have said, "Life will be GOOD!" But I never imagined that it would be this SPECIAL! We have done so much in 5 years - we have lived in a different state, you finished Vet School and a Specialty Internship, we bought our 1st home and we are now seeing life through the eyes of a vivacious 10 month old!  I am beyond blessed and thankful for the marriage that I share with you and for the adventures we have ahead in the next 5 years together... and the next 5 years after that ... and after that, etc.
I love you so much!

Sun Valley Community Church  - Baby Dedication

Travis and I first attended a Child Dedication Workshop at the church to provide us with the necessary tools and understanding to help us raise a child of God.  After the workshop came the big day...

June 1, 2013 ~ Paisley Joy Wodiske was Dedicated to The Lord at Sun Valley Community Church surrounded by her family & loved ones.  Travis and I know we have an incredible opportunity as Paisley's parents to raise her in a home surrounded by love, support and encouragement and we are dedicated to doing so.

The Dedication Ceremony was a private service for those dedicating their children and for their loved ones.

Paisley was on her best behavior and was a complete joy during the whole ceremony

The Stevens Family Visits AZ

Gina, Shawn and the boys were in town for a wedding... so The Wodiskes were blessed with lots of time with The Stevens!!!

Paisley and I got 3 full days of fun with Gina and Noah :)

DATE NIGHT!

Since Gina and Shawn were apart of the wedding Paisley and I spent the day watching Noah... these two cuties had a blast together!

.... but by the end of the day I think BLUE STEEL was done hanging with a mischevious-girlie-girl!
It was a fantastic few days with Gina and the boys! We love you and can't wait to see you again in September!

Travis and Chris (La Brisa Photography) took engagement photos of my good friends Meghan & Ryan so Paisley and I tagged along to watch.

 While the guys took photos Paisley and I enjoyed the beautiful weather and the cute area.  We visited the 'Love' sign at the Scottsdale Civic Center and enjoyed watching the sunset over Camelback Mt.

Paisley was obsessed with touching and eating the grass ... so I couldn't get her to look up for any photos...

We ended the evening on Camelback Mt.  It was beautiful and of course I was in the perfect outfit to hike around with a 10 month old in my arms :)
