SEPTEMBER 2013 : Paisley's 1st Cross-Country Trip ~ Welcome to Charleston!

One of my closest friends in the world happens to live in Charleston, South Carolina.  So Paisley and I packed up for her 1st cross-country trip to visit Gina & 2 boys!  Her youngest, Noah, is the same age as Paisley so we were very excited to share 5 days together just being moms with our kiddos!
Paisley -14 months old - eek!!
At the airport bright & early, ready for our day of traveling...
This was Paisley's 1st plane flight & I was very nervous about having a layover,
but God blessed me with wonderful people to assist along the way :)
She slept through one of the plane flights - miracle!!!
Mesmerized by all of the hustle and bustle going on around her.
This young girl became her new best friend
& ran around the airport with her when our layover was delayed an extra hour :)
We made it to their home in Charleston!!! (Adorable, right!)
Celebratory Drinks
Believe me, I earned it (traveling with a toddler is not a simple task)!!!
Paisley & Noah were so excited to see each other when they woke up.
They rushed through breakfast so they could get outside to play.
Paisley was not use to playing outside in such a lush and beautiful backyard ...
she was spoiled at Gina's.
Park Time!!!
More backyard fun!
(We literally spent every awake moment outside - it was gorgeous!)
Daddy,  I want one!
Moms - Night - Out!
Thanks to Gina's mom, we were able to leave the kiddos at home
& have a night out in downtown Charleston :)
We didn't skip a beat ...
We started out at a rooftop bar {Venue} for drinks, enjoyed fried chicken for dinner  at {Poogan's Porch} &
and visited an adorable bakery {Blossom} for dessert.
We took FULL advantage of our evening!
Cooper River Bridge Walk
It was very windy - we look like we are on a roller coaster ride & Paisley is freaked out!
I love the beauty of Charleston!
Everywhere you go is unique & charming.
Aaron, her 3 year old,  took this photo of us - great job Aaron!
We thought it was hilarious that we own the same running shoes - great minds think alike!
Paisley loved her freedom in the backyard
& spending time with the boys.
I couldn't wipe the silliness off of her face!
Walking Downtown Charleston (& of course King Street) with the kiddos
The Cooper River Bridge that we had walked earlier.... crazy cool!
Beach Time at Folley Beach
She hated when her hands got sandy - haha
Pumpkin Coffee & Donuts before the Children's Museum
(TRUTH: the donuts were for us & not the kiddos - haha)
They loved how they had complete freedom
& could touch & play with everything :)
What a great time we had - the kiddos were exhausted from all of the fun!
We were sad to leave Gina & the boys...
but daddy was at home ready for his girls to return!

Gina, Thank you for making our trip so special.
It was so much fun visiting the must-see places in Charleston
& sharing it all with our kiddos.  Love you girl!
