The Kansas Photo Shoot
For our wedding gift, my brother Chad, surprised both Travis and I with a pair of overalls. He informed us that we would need them to fit in, in Kansas. Of course he meant it as a joke, Manhattan is no where near as 'hick' as other parts of Kansas. But, to have fun before we moved back to the city life in AZ we decided to do a photo shoot in those special overalls, as a surprise to my brother and to remember what a difference Kansas life is to Arizona life.
The photo shoot was so much fun and the pictures actually turned out really good, thanks to http://www.labrisaphotography.com .
Enjoy the photos:

1 YEAR!!!
On Sunday we celebrated our 1 Year Anniversary.
(Can you believe it has already been a year? TIME FLEW BY!)
We decided to make our day special by getting dressed up and having dinner at one of the nicest restaurant in town; Harry's. Harry's is located in the old historic Wareham Hotel which was created in 1925.
The food was delicious and it was the perfect setting to celebrate.
The weather was great, so after dinner we walked around downtown Manhattan and sipped coffee. It was a perfect night!
2 year - here we come!

State Capitol - Topeka, Kansas
On our way home from Olathe we decided to stop in Topeka and visit the State Capitol. (It was beautiful!) And of course it was time to eat again so we stopped at Red Robin in Topeka (since we don't have one in Manhattan). It was a fun day that helped us check off another great experience we could only share with Kansas.

Olathe - Kansas
We finally made it to Olathe, Kansas (a suburb of Kansas City). The reason why we wanted to visit this small town was for one reason only - AMC Studio 30's Fork and Screen movie experience. It is the only movie theatre in the US where you sit in your seat and you are served a full menu before and during the movie. It was a super fun experience that we shared with our friends the Hsieh and the Medleys. The movie we saw was 'Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.' It was a great movie and the food was delicious!

The Move Is Getting Closer
Things have been crazy over here. We are down to less than a month in Manhattan, so we decided to make this month jam-packed with things that we must-see before we leave. So far we have attended The Vet School Graduation, Manhattan Christian College's Graduation, Puffy's Steakhouse in Maple Hill (amazing, true Kansas food). Besides all of these fun activities of course I am a packing machine, I refuse to be crazy at the last minute. We will keep you updated on our exciting times as this month carries on.

Meet Me In St. Louis
Travis finally got a week off, so we decided to visit our friends the Walkers in St. Louis, MO. (The trip happened tp fall on my birthday, which made it even better!) The Walker family were amazing tour guides and we were blessed to see all of their beautiful city, Chesterfield, as well as St. Louis. We absolutely loved how rich in culture and architecture St. Louis is. We visited th
e top local hot spots and restaurants, the St. Louis Zoo, Anheuser-Busch Brewery, Forest Park (where the 1st World's Fair took place), Washington University (where Bill went to college - gorgeous campus), Daniel Boone's House, Cardinal's vs. Cub's baseball game, etc. Off course Travis and Bill had to put in some hunting time so Nancy and I did some boutique shopping and Starbucks runs!
We made so many great memories and already miss the Walkers very much. What a blessing they are!
