VEGAS or BUST!!!

On the road to Vegas you have to slowly drive through the Hoover Dam, we both hadn't been there for a while so it brought back fun memories of our childhoods!Growing up my dad loved that dam tour - the rest of us hated it! haha - Never Again! VEGAS - here we come!We stayed at Ballys! Our room was very nice!We meet again - Hello Bakers! It is great to share our anniversary's together again(#2)!The Bakers brought along another couple for us to hang with - Introducing Brooks and Stephanie Miller from Mississippi!The strip at night is so beautiful and all hours are filled with energy and excitement! Sorry Trav - no luck.The gang!Perfect fit.Ordering my $7 latte at the hotel (who knew espresso is more expensive than liquor?!)

Red or Black?????Red it is..... how did we do???Up $60... buffet dinner here we come!Wall of goldfish - only in Vegas!Caesar's Palace - so cool! Love all of the shops!Margarita break! $1 each - what a steal!The Venetian was magical!

Date Night on the Strip

Crazy things went down during the show - literally!We all had so much fun! Go see it!

Blue = creepy! The blue man sucked on my hand and left his blue mark - haha We ended the night watching the Bellagio fountain - so beautiful!

Watersport Weekend = Colorado River Trip with the Cali Wodiskes

What a wild weekend! Travis and I met up with the California Wodiskes in Needles, CA on the Colorado River. They were so gracious to invite us on a fun-filled watersport weekend. We went wakeboarding, waterskiing, jet-skiing, boating, etc. We had so much fun and we are so thankful for such a great opportunity! Thank you Rich, Brett, Bri and Trevor for family fun!!!

Yes, I slept in a sleeping bag on the beach, under the stars... (that is until a huge storm hit and we had to run to the car for cover at 2am)
At 5am, the morning after the storm, we went for an early boat ride on the glassy water! Beautiful!

Travis is so talented! He makes everything look so easy!It was so special watching Travis rock on the wakeboard! He got mad air!After wakeboarding he switched over to waterskiing - sweet picture!

As if those two water activities were not enough, he surfed on the river too! My Captain! Once all of the cousins woke up, Trav had to get back on the water (to show them up!)

Day 2:

It's my turn! I got up on the wakeboard on my first try!! BOOYA!!Talk about a rush!!!Mr. Amazing is back at it, this time he is on an Air Chair - seriously cool!What a fun weekend! When are we coming back???

(Thanks Uncle Rich we had a blast!! - But man are we sore!)

Let Them Eat Cake!!

We finally cut into the top tier of our Wedding Cake!!! Since we lived in Kansas on our 1Year Anniversary (& the cake was still in my parents freezer) we were unable to dive into it; instead we decided to save it for our 2 Year Anniversary.

We were a little worried about it having been in the freezer for 2 years, but we were wrong... IT WAS DELICIOUS!! The tuxedo style chocolate and vanilla cake was moist and the frosting was fabulous!!! (Thank you again Troon Country Club for a delicious and beautiful cake!)

Travis and I loved reminiscing about our beautiful wedding night and the fun we shared.

(PS: Everyone should save a piece of their wedding cake and make an experience out of tasting it on a future anniversary!!)

Sun-Sational San Clemente - Memorial Day Weekend 2010

Travis and I were so blessed to beat the heat and head over to San Clemente, CA for Memorial Day Weekend. We spent the weekend living it up with great company, enjoying the beach, playing hoops, golfing, etc. We had a blast and could only say how sad we were to leave the beauty of the OC! Can't wait to visit again, thanks Wodiskes (Rich, Laurie, Bri & Trevor) for a wonderful visit!
