Chris Tomlin Concert

For our Christmas Gifts from my parents,
our whole family went to see Chris Tomlin in concert.
The concert was at CCV! How great is that!
It was an inspirational night of worship!!!
Chris brought Louie Giglio as his guest.
So not only were we blessed with music, but also an amazing sermon.
I love the fact that Chris truly is living out his life for God.
He has a passion unlike anyone I have seen.
Chris puts his faith in God,
in return God gives Chris the words,
and together they create (Indescribable) music to witness to the whole world.
... Our Hope is in YOU GOD!!!

1st Home Crisis!

After 5 days as new home owners,
Travis and I had our first home CRISIS!!!

Our washing machine decided that after moving across the country and back that it didn't want to stay in one spot anymore. Basically our machine bounced it's way into the center of the room and yanked the water hose out of the wall. Travis and I were working in the guest room when we heard what sounded like a rushing geyser coming from the laundry room. That it was!
Water was shooting out of the hose at full speed. Travis was running ahead of me, and I can still remember it all... he was screaming and running at full speed, but he forgot to slow down as he entered the wet room in his beloved crocs. He went flying into the air and smacked down on his butt in the pool of water that filled the room. I was no help at this point... I fell to my knees in hysterical laughter.
Once we composed ourselves, we waded through the water to the machine and of course we couldn't get it to turn off. In desperation I grabbed the hose and used my hand to plug it up while Travis frantically searched for a bucket. Unfortunately, Travis was so taken by the situation he ended up running around in circles before he could pull himself together to think about what he was going to grab.
We finally got the machine turned off when we realized that every towel we owned was being washed in the washing machine. What a night!
All in all, we had the room spotless by 11pm (2 hours later).
We have decided to look at it this way - no long term damage was done and we now have a have a sparkling, clean laundry room.

***** In honor of our fiasco I have added this link for your viewing pleasure.
The wading-in-water, as well as the attack-of-the-monster-machine portions of this commercial give you an idea of what went down in our new home that night. :)

The Wodiske Moving Day Experience

April 2, 2011 - It is Moving Day.
I had spent the last two weeks packing up the apartment
and we definitely had not planned on having to move on a 95degree day...
you would think we would be use to it by now (3rd times the charm) :)
We were so blessed to have had all of our
immediate family members out for this important day.
Everyone was so great - we started at 6:30am to beat the heat.
3 week married - Michelle Wodiske
Kyle, Travis' brother and husband to Michelle (above)
Travis and I didn't really know what was in store for us when we moved back to AZ from KS. But, we were blessed with a great apartment.
We couldn't have asked for a better location in a highly desirable Chandler neighborhood. We shared so many wonderful memories in #2081, however will not miss the small size, hearing peculiar noises through the walls, little to no insulation and carrying groceries up the stairs to the second floor. Gotta love apartment living - everyone should experience it at some point in their life ;)
We are definitely looking forward to opening up boxes we haven't touched since KS or our wedding day! I love new presents!
My sister Michelle expressing how happy she is for Travis and I.
Sister/mother time in the gigantic kitchen - haha.
Dad resting - he is a hard worker!
Travis and I - soaking up our last few moments at the apt.
Michelle Van Allsburg (my sister|married to Jason for 5 years)
Shaina Andresen (my sister-in-law|married to my brother Chad for 3 months)
Michelle Wodiske (my sister-in-law| married to Travis' brother Kyle for 3 weeks)
All of my beautiful sisters!
No more stairs!
Hooray!!
Bill, my father-in-law, carrying my favorite accessory - MY KEY!
Tris, my mother-in-law, assisting with the trailers.

~~~ We started the pack up at the apartment at 6:30am
and we were on our way to the house by 7:30!
My family rocks!~~~
We moved with 4 trucks, 3 trailers, 2 Hyundai's and a Lancer.
My mom wanted to pose next to Travis' most prized possession. (Besides me of course!)
It is already starting to feel like a home - eeekkk!
We were fully unpacked by 9:30am
- that has to be a moving record!
While we moved everything in, Brodie enjoyed our beautiful backyard.
~~~~~

Of course we had to celebrate!!!
Travis and I are blessed with a wonderful family,
a new home and more exciting adventures ahead.
Thank you GOD!!!
Cheers!
Thank you everyone!
We love you all so much and are excited to have you all over once we are unpacked.
... Yikes, now the unpacking begins.

The Story of our NEW HOME!

On Feb. 14, 2011 -
Travis and I decided to go big for Valentine's Day...
we put an offer in on our 1st house!
(This is a photo of Travis and Dan Moon talking about our potential offer)
Incase you didn't know, I am a Realtor now and I joined The Moon Team with Keller Williams Integrity First.
Dan and Debbie Moon are my bosses and they assisted me with the process of buying our home! :)
After some countering, our offer was accepted by the seller and her relocation company!!!
We are now in the inspection period - let's see how the inspections go...
My first big sale :)
The inspection went incredibly well!!! God is good!
Our seller was wonderful to work with - she fixed all of our minor requests.
Of course we brought in our great friend Steve Schaufer as our Pest Control expert!
Travis learning the ins-n-outs of our electrical box - hehe we are in for it!
Front entrance
View from the front yard
Awesome backyard with built-in fire pit :)
Side yard
Inside entry from the front door
Upgraded kitchen (granite and stainless steel - gotta love it)
Guest rooms hall way - split floor plan
back of the home

~~~~~ 45 days later - we are signing!!!!~~~~~
Travis and I had a blast signing at title.
Travis counted, we only signed our names 36 times - not bad!!!
The whole home buying experience was especially exciting for me as a Realtor!
I now know what my clients are going through.
...Let the moving begin!
