go BIG or go home

Travis and Kyle worked hard all weekend to bring my GIANT idea to fruition!  

We have had a large open wall in our laundry room/craft room and I asked them to create a life-size magnet/cork & white board for me to decorate and keep life organized on.  (9x5 ft)

They listened to all of my ideas and created this beautiful masterpiece.  

It turned out even better than I imagined it! Thank you so so much!!!  Blessed to have two talented men in my life!!!

THE ATTACK of the FLU!!!!

The Flu Bug infected our home. :( It has been a rough 2 weeks of the fevers, chills and the stomach flu.  Paisley got it first, then passed it to daddy, and then decided to take it on for a second round.  PRAISE GOD that  I was able to stay healthy through it all because between the two of them I had plenty to take care of!

Disinfecting wipes became my new best friend... I carried them around everywhere I went... and still do

This happened in the parking lot, minutes before we entered our church bible study -
as you can guess we didn't make it inside

Trav was able to get over his bug in 24 hours but poor Paisley didn't understand what hit her.  I have said it before and I will say it again, "There is nothing worse than a sick baby!!!"  You feel so helpless when they feel so miserable!!!

ON A BRIGHTER NOTE...  Paisley started to feel better!

Once she felt well enough to crawl again she found her way over to the patio door to look at the beautiful yellow flowers on the ground... she sat by the door looking outside for hours!

 She was a happy girl once I let her actually go outside to touch the flowers 

and not to mention breath in some FRESH AIR!!!

She was so happy to finally be touching those pretty flowers that she had been mesmerized with for so long

Its the little things in life that can bring JOY! :)

28 and Feeling Great!

I am officially 28!  One year ago I turned 27 years old and I was 7 months pregnant with Paisley Joy - how surreal is that.  Well my first birthday as a mommy didn't quite go as planned... Travis was out of town on a hunting trip and my sweet 8 month old caught the stomach flu - yuck!  It was a great weekend of reminders that my birthday will never be my own anymore... I am a mommy now and my baby girl comes first!  All that being said my family and friends swooped in to help make my weekend feel special! Thank you so much!!!! AND HONESTLY just having my sweet girl by my side (even sick) makes everyday special!!!

FUNNY SIDE NOTE:  I called this birthday the year of BAGS... I received 3 travel bags - I guess my friends and family are trying to tell me it is time to go on a vacation :)
